Colloquium Anatolicum is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that has been published since 2002 and features original, high-quality scholarly articles in the fields of Paleoanthropology, Anthropology, Prehistory, Protohistory, Near Eastern Archaeology, Classical Archaeology, Ancient History, Hittitology, Sumerology, Latin Language and Literature, Greek Language and Literature, Byzantine Studies, Art History, Architectural History, Cultural Heritage, Museum Studies and Restoration. The journal provides an interdisciplinary academic platform focusing on Anatolia and its surrounding regions, bringing together theoretical and empirical research from the fields of archaeology, history and philology.


Colloquium Anatolicum is indexed in the TÜBİTAK–ULAKBİM Social Sciences Database and is published annually.

Aim and Scope

Colloquium Anatolicum aims to contribute to the disciplines of ancient history, archaeology, and philology at an international level by publishing high-quality studies and research conducted by both Turkish and international scholars in these fields, with a particular focus on Anatolia within the broader context of the ancient world.

Colloquium Anatolicum publishes original articles, conference papers, and book reviews in all branches of ancient studies, including prehistoric archaeology, the history and archaeology of the Ancient Near East and Greco-Roman civilizations, ancient languages, epigraphy, numismatics, archaeometry, cultural heritage management, and archaeological reports.
